A superb and rare 17th-century Spanish Renaissance period walnut console table with a beautiful lyre-shaped base, typical of 17th-century Catalan tables.
This table can serve as a desk or a large console, as it has been crafted on both sides. It can therefore be placed in the center of a room if needed. Its shallow depth (60cm) makes it suitable for use as a console, which is rare; they are often deeper.
It has three drawers in the frieze with a very nice molding work on the drawers. Original locks.
It features a beautiful, thick walnut top (4 cm) made from a single piece of walnut
wrought iron stretchers typical of Catalan tables.
Beautiful patina and in superb condition.
