An imperial blue-glazed dish


Qianlong mark and period (1736-1795) The shallow dish with well-rounded sides is supported on a slightly tapering foot. The interior and exterior are covered with a deep blue glaze. The rim and base are glazed white. The base is inscribed with six-character seal mark in underglaze blue. 16.7 cm diameter   Provenance: A Dutch private collection Acquired from Gisèle Croës, Brussels, June 1985     A pair of very similar dishes are illustrated in Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, London, 1994, Volume 2, pl. 838.
