Sculptural console table by Idir Mecibah (Belgium 1958 - 2003)

2400 €

Sculptural forged metal console table made by artist Idir Mecibah (Antwerp Belgium 1958 - 2003). This table is handforged with a very nice contrast between solid design and raw structures on the forged metal. The tabletop is patinated in a dark red colour with a square of gold leaf in the middle, this gives the table in combination with the solid design and raw structures an organic chique look. Idir Mecibah was a very talented artist and designer, he worked together with the Belgian design brand Durlet. This table was produced by smederij Moerman in 1996 and is a unique piece. Signed and dated by the artist on the tabletop.

Life-size figurative sculpture by Belgian sculptor Roland Lavianne

Life-size figurative sculpture by Belgian sculptor Roland Lavianne

Large, life-sized chestnut wood sculpture by Roland LAVIANNE (1948-2022). Simplifying forms to the extreme, Roland LAVIANNE develops a powerful play of volumes, shapes, and lines, using light as a building material. Roland LAVIANNE demonstrates a true mastery of the balance of volumes and lines of force; the characters, both motionless and dynamic, seem to weave a theatrical conversation forever suspended.
