Antique 18th/19th century Nepalese gilt bronze figure of Buddha Amitabha

A Nepalese gilt bronze figure of the Buddha Amitabha, seated on a lotus throne, wearing a monk's rope adorned with a scrolling lotus pattern.

Gilding and further traces of gilding on the hem and the Buddha. Bottom plate seems to be in tact.
With a beautiful serene facial expression.

From a private French collection of Himalayan art.

A rare Morató copper melange bright enameled plaque depicting the Crucifixion.
Inspired by the XII/XIII century copper enamel plaques from Romanesque workshops in Limoges France.
Exceptional technique and craftsmanship.

Last picture comes from The Met site, in their collection this first quarter XIII century copper enamels-champlevé plaque. The inspiration for the jeweler and artist Ojer.

India Rajasthan silver pair of ‘gajre’ bracelets 254 gr

India Rajasthan mid XX century

A very near pair of heavy hinged pin silver bracelets that were handmade using a traditional technique called 'gajre' or 'goli': lots of very small silver massive balls which aren't welded to the base but attached with a silver wire that leaves them slight movement.

They are often worn in pairs or a pair on each arm by Rajasthani women.

This near pair us in good condition, normal wear and lovely silver patina. Very wearable. From a private collection.

Rare antique large Tibetan Mechag flint pouch Himalayan silver and coral

Tibet ca 1900

A rare, large Tibetan flint carrying pouch (also called a mechag or chuck muck), made of leather with repousse silver plaques, inlaid with a large turquoise and coral stones in silver holders.
Motifs of filigree, scrolling and fish. Adorned with a silver round amulet on the end of the strap.

The leather purse is made to hold a flint piece and some burnable material. The flint is struck against the iron blade, making a spark which is caught in the material. The top is fitted with brass hardware for hanging from the leather strap.

In good used condition, all original.

A rare and antique Berber high degree silver chain and pendant. The pendant was originally an ear ornament but made into a necklace, which was not uncommon.

This antique ethnic necklace is in good condition overall, lovely silver patina, coral branches and hands of Fatima amulets.

A beautiful vintage silver marked 925 cuff bracelet, certainly Native American but no makers mark.

Adorned with 4 natural turquoise stones in a silver setting and 1 central larger natural turquoise stone in a silver setting.

In good condition, very little signs of wear.

Antique English silver plated centerpiece Epergne floweholder trumpet style Art Nouveau

A wonderful Art nouveau Epergne or flowerholder centerpiece made from silver plated metal with 6 smaller trumpet holders and one large one.
With the wirework stand and the bold design it is a true avant garde statement piece that is today still very modern.

Unmarked, but probably Birmingham made, in good condition, complete but normal userwear to the plating and uncleaned. Personal choice.

France plaster marble Roman head after Greek original Diadumenos

Ca mid XX century France

A rare and nicely made plaster head with marble style finish on a wooden base. Probably Sens Musée.

This head, the Diadumenos type is made after the marble Roman one made around the 2nd century CE after a Greek original (Polycletes) of ca 440-430 BC.
The Roman head was found in 1863 or 1865 at the Abbey of Vauluisant in Burgundy France.

Many Diadeem wearers are known and many different copies have been found and made since Ancient Greek times but this modest plaster example is quite rare and very much part of Burgundy history.

In very good condition, normal wear and little scratches.
