France Art Deco George de Feure (1868-1943)   This beautiful vase was designed by Georges De Feure (1868-1943). De Feure was of Dutch ancestry, but lived primarily in France. He was a very versatile artist--painter, designer of furniture, glass, stained glass, pottery, theatrical sets and more. He was first well-known for his elegant Art Nouveau Poster designs.   This vase, made in France in the Art Deco style, is molded pate-de-verres glass featuring a bas relief of three classical female figures (possibly the Three Graces) playing musical instruments and dancing. Christie's indicated it was a design commission by Fauchon Co. and made by DAUM FRERES NANCY. c. 1910.The signature "G. de Feure" is molded in the base. As was popular at the time, the vase was created to mimic an archaeological find, indicated by the intentional stress cracks, bubbles and artificial patina. This example is in good condition enhanced with a gilt rim and foot with laurel leave details.    Dim: 14,5 x 12 cm / 992 gr
