Signed Liu Shouben, dated to the mid-autumn of the Yiwei year, corresponding to 1979 the rounded rectangular bottle painted on the inside with the famous scene of the painter Zhang Sengyou adding the finishing touch to the picture of a dragon, with the inscription hua long dian jing (painting the dragon’s pupils), the reverse depicting a shepherd boy pointing to the Apricot Blossom (Xinghua) Village, below the poem ‘Tomb Sweeping Day’ by Du Mu, agate stopper height 6.6 cm without stopper Provenance: from a Dutch private collection acquired prior to the 1980's
