Dated the first month of the Xinhai Year, corresponding to 1911 the thick-walled tapering ovoid bottle carved with nine rounded petal-shaped facets below a collar of further petals around the shoulder, the interior painted with a continuous scene of fan-tailed goldfish swimming amidst aquatic plants and inscribed xin hai yuan yue zuo         ‘Made in the first month of the Xin Hai year’ followed by one seal of the artist, coral stopper height 5 cm without stopper Provenance: from a Dutch private collection acquired prior to the 1980's
